The Sunday Practice
A service from Breath & Ember
Last updated: 19 August 2026
The Sunday Practice is a service from Breath & Ember.
If you have any questions about these terms, or about your membership, you can reach us at hello@breathandember.com.
Breath & Ember is a trading name of Melinor Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Company no. 17021046. Our registered office address is: Melinor Ltd, Eagle House, 25 Severn Street, Welshpool, Powys SY21 7AD
The Sunday Practice is a guided writing and sound app. The free version is available to anyone, with no account required. The Full Practice is a paid annual subscription that unlocks additional features, currently priced at £19 per year, including tax.
Full Practice members can also save and keep each practice as a formatted PDF.
What you write during a practice stays on your device. We do not store it, and it never passes through our servers. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
When you subscribe to The Full Practice, you're not buying the app, its code, or its music. You're buying a licence, personal to you, to use The Sunday Practice for your own private, non-commercial practice, for as long as your subscription remains active. This licence is non-exclusive and non-transferable, meaning it's yours alone to use, and it can't be passed on, shared, or sold to anyone else.
We also offer The Full Practice to organisations, for example as part of an in-person workshop, for use by a number of staff or participants. These arrangements are agreed separately in writing between us and the organisation, and will set out the number of licences, the term, and the price.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, an organisational licence is subject to these terms in the same way as an individual one: it's a licence to use the app, not a transfer of ownership, and the intellectual property and acceptable use terms above apply equally to every person using a licence under an organisational agreement.
Everything within The Sunday Practice, including its proprietary practice and process, software, design, writing prompts, branding, and audio tracks, is protected by copyright and owned by, or licensed to, Melinor Ltd.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or resell any part of it without our permission. In particular, you may not rip, download, extract, or otherwise remove any audio track from the app, or redistribute it in any form outside the app itself.
What you write is yours. We make no claim over it at all, and as explained above, we never see or store it in the first place.
The Sunday Practice is for your own personal use. You agree not to use it in any way that could damage, disable, or interfere with the app or the service, including attempting to access it in unauthorised ways.
We may suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe these terms have been seriously or repeatedly broken.
The Full Practice is billed annually in advance, at the price shown at the time you subscribe. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
Your subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel it. We will not change your price part-way through a paid year.
Cancelling within your first 14 days. If you're a new member, you have 14 days from the moment you subscribe to change your mind and cancel for a full refund, for any reason. You can request a refund from your account page. You do not need to give a reason. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Cancelling after a renewal. Each time your subscription renews, you have 14 days from the renewal date to change your mind and receive a full refund. You can request a refund from your account page. You do not need to give a reason.
Cancelling at any other time. You're always free to cancel your subscription. If you cancel outside of the 14-day windows above, no refund is due for the year already paid for, but your membership continues until the end of that paid year. You won't be charged again after that, and you'll keep access to everything The Full Practice offers right up until your paid period ends.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page, which takes you to a secure Stripe-hosted page to manage your subscription directly. If you'd rather cancel by email, you're welcome to write to us at hello@breathandember.com, and we'll action it promptly.
If a payment has gone through but something on our side hasn't worked as it should, for example your membership hasn't been activated, please get in touch and we'll put it right.
We may update these terms from time to time, for instance to reflect changes in the law. If we make a material change, we'll let members know by email before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If a dispute can't be resolved directly between us, you're entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
